Cubs expected to be rejuvenated after day off

With the schedule day off Monday the Cubs' arms and lineup ought to be well rested. I don't know what kind of offense fans will see from the lineup tonight against the Rangers. The Cubs will have gut out the road trip and make at least a dent. The guys like Barrett, Jones, and DeRosa must be active hitters. This early count swinging nonsense has to stop. Getting runners on base...AND driving them in is key.

Marshall gets the start oppose to the Rangers' Tejeda (5-3). The young lefty has shown well in recent performances and definitely must have adequate run support. Everybody needs to do their part: the lineup, middle relief, and closer. If not the Cubs will experience their 3rd straight loss. They should be over .500 at this point instead of under. This team has got way too much talent going to waste. Lou Piniella will have to be a charge into this club again to spring them into action and move on to winning ways.
