Cubs interested in Kaz Matsui instead of real talent

Yes, it's been a while since I've updated this page and for good reason. Dealing with the postseason outcome was too infuriating. Now months later I think I'm over it. Well, the Cubs are up to their old tricks and cheap-spending tactics again or so it seems. Rumor has it management is considering offering a deal to Kaz Matsui. Again, I understand where this is going. The infielder had a few hits in the playoffs and now the geniuses operating the franchise think he's a good candidate to replace someone on the infield. Dead wrong as usual fellas, this guy will only be taking up space and be useless from an offensive standpoint.

Also, word has been going around whether Kerry will stick around or not. At this point I don't see what real difference it will make. I like him in the bullpen as long as he pitches an inning or so, but he has nothing to do with the offensive shortages plaquing this franchise. Will when old nobhead Hendry realize this? How many freaking years will it take for him to get the DAMN message?? Cub fans want to see smart deals going down and not constantly hearing what crummy players management has in mind for the 2008 team. Forget about Kaz and concentrate on the high-market players, the only real logical investments!
