Cubs travel to Milwaukee with heads held high

Sox fans can't give Cub fans too much grief now because the tide has changed. The Cubs have actually been winning games, at home, and looking half-way decent as a club. With the day off Monday, it gave the coaching staff and team to gather their thoughts and hopefully work out adjustments and practice more on fundamentals. Every team wants to avoid those nasty errors on the field. Dusty has been lucky recently with his lineup. Eventually this luck will run out. Angel Pagan should get more playing time in left field.

I have a feeling the Cubs bullpen will get wore out against the Brew crew because whenever these two teams meet a wild run-scoring affair erupts. No one really knows if Kerry Wood will return at all. This team definitely needs another veteran starter, there is no doubt about it. Managment can't expect the young guys fresh from Triple A to take control, enabling the team to go on a run in August. They've got to be realistic.

I should be interesting to see how Carlos Marmol (4-5) fairs today against Tomo Ohka (3-2). Milwakee is making a serious statement this year in the Central. They're refusing to go easy on any team. Behind Bill Hall, Geoff Jenkins, Prince Fielder, and company they've got plenty of power. I just hope they don't bash the Cubs pitching today. Good luck and go Cubs!
